Kathi has been in Siberians since the early 1970's. Her first Siberian was from Jean Richardson's S-K-Mo Kennels in Riverside Ca. Her puppy, Bandit , was out of Ch S-K-Mo's JP McMorgan and the Monodnock lines. She showed Bandit for about a year until she began her own 'people puppy' family and Bandit was the children's best friend and playmate. In 1990, 5 years after Bandit passed away, Kathi began showing again and finished Ch Echo Call's Gypsystar Shamrock and Ch Shamrock's Angelita Leprechaun and began a breeding program to include wonderful family style temperaments, solid conformation and effortless and correct movement. Both Star and Angie provided a wonderful foundation to what Shamrock Siberians is today.

Being a bit eccentric, Kathi loves to show unusual colored and marked Siberians. Her favorite was showing to his AKC Championship, Ch Shamrock's White Cloud Rising, a pure white Siberian with a personality fit for a stand up comedian. Cloudy drew laughs whenever he was in the show ring. His antics many times overshadowed his beautiful type and movement.

Shamrock Siberians is located in Hemet Ca, about 90 miles east of Los Angeles. We are a small show kennel with puppies only occasionally. Often times we are out and about the countryside in our motor home attending dog show when we are not working or involved in Theatre.

 

Kathi has been involved in 'Ramona' , California's Official State Outdoor Play for 25 years. She has portrayed the lead character, Ramona, for two seasons in the 1980's and currently is cast as La Senora Moreno, the matriarch of the Rancho. Her husband, Dennis Anderson, has been the Artistic Director since 1995. She has been his Assistant Director since 1996.  www.ramonabowl.com

 

Currently Kathi works at Buena Vista Pet Clinic in Hemet as a Veterinary Technician and has been there for 14 years. Dennis is Vice President of Instruction at Mt San Jacinto College. Formerly he taught Theatre at MSJC for over 30 years before getting his Doctorate in Education at Pepperdine University and entering College Administration.
